From farm silo levels to feed production and delivery
feedmass is a cloud system that connects one stream of data: shipment weighing at the feed mill, loading and delivery by bulk trucks, the stock in farm silos, feeding amounts and animal weight gain. From the silo levels it works out when and how much to refill, and feeds that back into the mill's production and delivery planning.
It is developed by Kamacho Scale Co., Ltd. and Nagano Create Co., Ltd. (Kamacho group). The product is under development and is not yet generally available.
What it does
Stock and days remaining
Estimates the stock in each farm silo and the days remaining from silo level sensors.
Refill and dispatch proposals
Works out refill amounts and timing from days remaining and delivery windows, and drafts a dispatch plan. Mill staff confirm it.
Demand for production planning
Passes the expected demand per feed product to the mill's production planning.
Delivery reconciliation
Checks shipment, loading and delivery records against changes in silo levels.
Farm view
Farmers see the silo status and planned deliveries from all the mills they buy from, on one screen.
Growth performance
Shows performance such as feed conversion from feeding amounts and animal weights.
Who uses it
Feed mills (administrators and staff for dispatch, production planning and sales), truck drivers of the carriers, the farms they supply, and the Kamacho and Nagano Create staff who operate and maintain the devices. Apart from drivers, users register through an invitation from an administrator of their own organization. Drivers sign in with a PIN on a vehicle device registered by our operators.
Data
Data is stored encrypted in the Amazon Web Services Tokyo and Osaka regions, separated per feed mill. The Service sends transactional email: invitations, sign-in codes and operational alerts such as low silo stock. See Privacy for details.
